Plenary Session 4: Relevance of climate scenarios for finance and private sector

The session exlpored how scenarios are used in the finance and private sectors. It started with a short presentation of existing scenarios produced by the IAM community. Then three scenario users discussed how they are using scenarios, how they choose scenarios, what methods they use and main results they obtain, but also what are the main limits they face and the need for new types of scenarios they see. The session ended with a Q&A session to foster a dialogue between IAMC community (mainly scenario producers) and the scenario users in the finance sector.
